The George Hotel, Ashford (Kent)

The hotel has its ups and downs. On the positive side, the rooms, though a bit dated, are exceptionally clean, and the friendly service adds value to the stay. However, being located right above the smoking area in the pub can be a downside, and the late-night noise from glass bottle recycling was disruptive.

My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The room was basic, old, and tired, with a strong smell of smoke from the pub below making it unpleasant to keep the window open. On the bright side, the price was quite affordable at £30 each including breakfast, even though navigating through the dimly lit corridors was a bit challenging.

The location was convenient, just 100 meters from restaurants and a McDonald's, but the noise from the pub could be disruptive. The location was convenient, just a short walk to restaurants and even a McDonald's. However, noise from the bar staff late at night impacted my sleep quality. The dining experience was excellent, offering good quality food at very reasonable prices.
